What I Love About Being A Pet Photographer
witnessing the beautiful bond we share with animals
exploring favourite places you take your pets
creating something beautiful for your home to share with friends and family for years to come
Bisous is the first cat in my life who came from a breeder. Being a condo dweller, I was looking for a breed of cat that was comfortable in a smaller space, basking in the window light and lounging belly up on the bed. I was worried about adopting a farm cat who wanted outside all the time. This guy surprised me right from the beginning with his well-executed condo-escapes into the hallway, elevator, neighbour’s homes and even the stairwells. This just proves that every cat has their own personality regardless of breed.
Luna is my rescue cat. She was apparently thrown from a car somewhere in the province of Quebec. A witness and wonderful human brought her to a shelter. Through the amazing volunteers at Freedom Drivers, who regularly rescue cats from “kill shelters”, she made it to Toronto safely. I found her at the Bay Cat Hospital where she apparently loved sitting on everyone’s laps in the waiting room. I am her forever home now and she is my eternal editing assistant, always on my lap while I work on all the happy pet portraits.
